Adventures in Murkland Post Apocalyptic

Okay, I have met some strange people while working on my residency here in Murkland. Now I have to deal with a vampire?    I may have to start stuffing my pockets with garlic or eating it to keep them away. Plus side this one is starting to smoke. Not sure if he knows it or not. But hey before you burst into flames could you drop a few simoleons?

I know I might take up a lot of time in the library working on my novels. But do people really understand how long and how many books its takes to get one perfect book?! I mean come on now you don't have to hover over me. All that is going to do is piss me off and cause me not to get up and move for you. Lesson learned. DON"T HOVER!

I get up for one second and this witch steals my computer. She better not have deleted my work or exited out of the program. I have auto save on but still. This woman is going to move so I can get back to work. Bye Felicia.

Okay so this is not good. Get to the pee bush, don't pee your self. I have been writing all day and have stopped briefly to eat some trash fruit and ignored all bodily warnings. I really need to remember to take breaks to deal with such things. Perhaps I will remember for next time.

My day in a nutshell. If I am lucky I might get a full nights sleep. When I am not writing I am playing the violin or don't wake the lama. If I had access to a juice bar I would be drinking that but even as a lightweight I might not last long. 

Unfortunately I did not get much sleep the night before due to the earth quake. Before I got started on writing today I wanted to get some coffee in hopes it would wake me up enough to power through the day. I have to say the coffee is not bad at all.

Well per Derricks request I am taking breaks and the librarian decided to stop to talk with me. It had been a stressful but productive day at the computer. I wish there were other things we are allowed to do on it. I can not imagine its just Murk-Word. Oh well at least he was fun to talk to. Not at all stuffy like you would expect a librarian to be.

Seriously? I am nearly done with this book I am currently writing and the stupid computer breaks down. Per Mayors rules I have to leave and can not come back for 24 hours. Thankfully it was about closing time so I did not lose to much time. The computer breaking means I get a break until tomorrow.  Who knows maybe Derrick will give me a call.

No sooner than I sit down this guy walks up wanting the computer. Ya no. Good bye come back later or find a different one to use. I have to get this book written and pray to Murk it is a bestseller. I swear I need a vacation. All this hard work with no breaks is going to turn me into a demonic dragon. Its been a while since Derrick has had to tame the dragon.

Since I had such a weird sleep schedule at the gym it has carried over at home and I end up getting up super early. So once all my needs are out of the way I tend to show up at the library early and play the violin. There are times when I get tips so that helps. The tips I get are going towards paying for the barista everyday.

You would think Trash plants would be easy to care for. They stink and don't need much attention yet I am always spraying for bugs, watering and weeding. Plus side when I have no one to talk to I can talk to the plant's. I wonder if I should name them?

Now before every one's mind slides into the gutter it is not what you think. Why pay someone when I have Derrick. Anyway back on track. Each time that I visit the library to write I have to hire a service sim. A barista. Why I do not know but that is one of the rules I must follow. But it helps to have them there if I forgot my trash fruit which I sometimes eat so I can stay longer. I have not yet become best friends with the librarian but to be honest I don't have time for that. I don't need to stay longer. I can do what I need to with in the hours the library is open.

I know Derrick said to take it slow and not over do it when I am writing the novels. This is so boring. I sit here and play don't wake the lama. I suppose if I do not want to burn my self out I will need to find things to do when I am not writing. Or perhaps I need to have days off from my writing.

I worked every day for only a certain amount of time to write a book. I present it to the Mayor and can you believe he said it was not good enough. He says I have to create a best seller. This challenge of his is going to be a lot harder than I originally thought. 

So I mentioned how I had been working really hard on the current challenge. Well once again I managed to not make it to my tent. Why did I have to crash here of all places?! Next to the piss bush! Murk I swear. I sure hope this challenge goes by quick.

How can one be hungry, tired and have to pee all at the same time?! Easy, get tunnel vision while writing your latest book and forget about everything else. This is going to be a long walk home. I sure do hope I make it before anything bad happens. One of these days I will learn to take breaks.

Derrick called and begged me to come out with him for a date. I know it sounds desperate but he knew how hard I have been working to make it possible for us to live together. He loves my hair! At first he was not so sure about it. He had gotten used to seeing it short. But then again he was shocked to see it so short when I found him. Either way I got a break from writing novels at the library.

So, now that I have finished the gym quest and did not get caught it is time for me to get on track with the Mayors challenges or quests as I call them. Next on his list of challenges is the library. To be honest I did not know we had one in town. Anyway, from what I have gathered from asking around I need to master writing and create ten best sellers to leave at the library for others to read and to fill up the empty shelves. Well here goes nothing! Derrick may not see much of me. Seems like I can power through this one but we will see.

Don't get me wrong I loved having people around to talk to. But, it at times was to much. Sleeping was hard with the constant sound of people playing basketball and working out. Now I don't have to worry about waiting in line to use the grill or the bush. I forgot how quiet it was here at home and I am glad to be back. Now where did Derrick run off to?

Well, now that I am half way through this strange challenge the Mayor has set up it is time for a  change. I do hope that Derrick likes it. My hair has been short for so long I thought it would be awesome to let it grow out! From what I have heard the next challenge to become a permanent resident is a library challenge. Should be interesting.

With the gym challenge finished I am now back home! Murk I need a shower. I forgot how much the plants smell. Anyway I was looking in the mirror and thought now that I am in shape maybe its time for a slight change. I hope Derrick likes it. Here goes nothing!

Did I get you with that? No, its not the end of my journal just the end of this side quest with the  gym! I made it with out being caught by the Mayor thank Murk. With all my plants being perfect, being in the best shape of my life and having made $15,000 I can now go back home to my trash plants and get started on my next quest. Can't wait! I'm one step closer to having Derrick day and night. It will be nice to not sleep alone.

The last batch of remedies I made now are ready to sell. I am counting down the days until I am able to go back home and move on to the next quest and be one step closer to Derrick and a permanent resident of Murkland. Don't get me wrong. A lot of the people here are awesome  but there are some I will be glad to get away from for a while.

As I get closer to the end of this quest or mission I have continued to make and sell my remedies. It looks like this could be the last batch that I make and sell. As always who is hovering? Don. He is well known around Murkland as being a player. The one who never settles for one girl but many.

Almost there, I am so tired. It seems like all I do is come down here and tend to two plants and go back topside. This time I only have to worry about one plant. One of the two has evolved and I am one step closer to being done and able to go home. I have also been pondering a change as well.

I have been working so hard on these plant's. Evolving and caring for them. I am down to my last two that need to be perfect. Hopefully it won't take to much time as I will be glad to go home and not have to be around so many people every day. One step closer to Derrick.

I swear if these earthquakes don't stop Derrick will be with out a girlfriend. I was in the middle of playing when what do you know a earthquake hits! Scared the life out of me I swear it did. Guess I will take a break from playing until my hands stop shaking.

As always I run into Don. Dude how many times do I have to tell you that I am taken and already know your reputation. So why would I leave a man who does not sleep around on me. I will be so glad when I can go back to my little tent and stinky plants.

There is always something to do around the gym whether its working out on the equipment or playing basketball. Basketball came rather easy to me which I was surprised. Perhaps it was due to me sitting on the side lines watching Derrick play for the school team. Who knows maybe we can get a basketball net and play once I am able to live with him. It kills time while waiting for plants to be evolved.

Seriously?! With the shortage of fresh water and the fact we have poison fish you would think people would not waste food. I was walking through the gym when I noticed someone had started making cobbler and left it. So whats a girl to do? Make cobbler! It was yummy to by the way.

Scary moment today. I was selling my remedies and the Mayor stopped by to check on things like the Mayor does at all lots around Murkland. Not long after the Mayor left a few people kept coming around that I had not seen before. I hope the Mayor is not on to me. I sure hope I can get this done and move on to the next quest. I might be a little cautious next time a Murklander mentions a side quest where you can not get caught by the Mayor.

So while I was working at the gym I noticed the Mayor was nosing around so I quickly ran to the busking station and started to busk with my violin. Oddly enough the Mayor said nothing and dropped a few simoleons in my violin case!

I can not wait to be done with this part of the quest. I just hope the Mayor has not figured anything out yet so I wont get caught and get in trouble. So I suppose until then. I DANCE!

So after running into Vlad it has made me a little nervous being at the gym. From what I have seen in movies they can not get in a house owned by a human. I asked around if anyone had seen him around or any others like him. This lady did not seem to be to worried about it but then again shes not living here. This is one of those times having Derrick with me 24/7 would be nice.

I swear it is like watching paint dry! I go down every morning and sometimes during the day and at night to check the plants and it is taking them forever! I suppose I will need to keep selling remedies and hanging out with Derrick  who oddly enough I haven't seen in a few days.

So you might be wondering why I am playing the violin in front of the fire. Well! I just reached my simoleons goal of 15,000. Now all I have to do is keep selling my remedies and make sure my plants are perfect which hopefully won't take to long. After that I will be on my next mission to become a resident of Murkland.

So I was minding my own and tending to my plants when who should appear. Vlad Dracula. Lovely, he better not even think about trying to drink from me or he will regret it! He must be a master being out in the sun like that. This really has been a weird week that's for sure.

I am a nice person and pretty much get along with everyone. Except one. Wolfgang! He is so mean and irritating. I know Derrick has told me to ignore him but when he is at the gym 24/7 that can make it a bit tough. Hopefully I wont be here for much longer so I can get away from him.

Not a whole lot to report today. Same thing day in and day out. Get up, tend to my plants, eat. Once a week play for tips, everyday sell remedies for stinky people and cook them and try to not get caught by the mayor. Oh yea and sleep. With how many people are buying the remedies I wonder how many report to the Mayor on my doings around Murkland.

Well we had a date and a dance battle now let's play the violin for him. He stuck around for a while before having to leave. Murk love him but he was getting a bit ripe. It was fun though having him around for more then a few hours.

I am not sure if he let me win but he sure did seem to be impressed with my new dancing skills. Hopefully when we are under one roof we can put them to good use instead of me dancing around a fire by my self. It defiantly was fun having a little dance battle with my boyfriend.

So before the apocalypse I could not dance to save my life so now that I can I challenged Derrick to a dance battle. He did laugh mostly because the last time we tried dancing it did not go well. Honey, sorry to bust your hot little bubble. But! I have some moves! 

So I was right! Derrick is still here and wanted to dance. It was slow going at first. We had been away from each other for a while and now getting back into a routine and not being nervous around each other. I may try to get him in a dance battle and see what happens. I love my man!

I have been at this table all day selling my remedies. Had a great time with Derrick again. Who knows if he went home or if he stuck around. I would not mind if he did stay for a while. Either way working on my goal to get to the next step of the Mayors quest to become a permanent resident.

Well the day after our date I spent a good part of the day making my remedies and as I was walking through the gym who do I see? Derrick. He apparently followed me back to the gym after our date. I do not mind at all. Gives us more time together. Kinda hot watching him doing push ups. Before the world went to murk in a hand basket I could sit and watch him work out for hours. Date ✔ Got him back to the gym✔ Now to get his shirt off. That may take some work if you know what I mean.

One of the side affects of the Apocalypse is earthquakes. It is an everyday thing and can be rather nauseating. I hope some day they will stop. It would be nice to have days when you can sleep through the night or work during the day with out having a quake hit.

For the first time in a while I managed to get through a day with out falling asleep in strange places. It felt good sleeping in my sleeping bag and not face first in where ever I happened to be at the time.

After our date I thought that Derrick went home but apparently I was wrong. He showed up this morning at the gym and hung out with me all day even though I was dirty trying to sell remedies to make up for the money I lost to bills.

With me being back in Murkland Derrick asked me out to the Puffer Dome. Instead of eating with just chatted and watched the clouds go by. This apocalypse could be a good thing. People are not so worried about their phones and the hustle and bustle of life. People can take time to just be with each other. I like this better.

The Mayor came by today. Apparently he got wind of someone selling remedies so I managed to sneak away and it looks like I am cooking a meal for my self. I sure do hope he does not come over here asking what I am doing. If he does hopefully he wont know the smells of the remedies and catch me. Fingers, eyes, toes, arms, legs crossed!
