Adventures in Murkland Post Apocalyptic

You have no idea how happy I am that I can now throw away my trash! I did not see any trash cans around but this huge bon fire area so I lit it and tossed the trash in. Now hopefully it won't be nearly as stinky as it normally is. The stench was getting to be a bit much. Throwing up everyday because if it was getting old real fast.

Thank MURK! Finally I can stop leaving trash every where to make these blasted plants. Now all I have to do is eat one trash fruit a day which I have been doing and make these plants perfect. Never mind my plates all lined up in a row. They wanted to play spoon, spoon cup! Man I really need to find some friends. These plants and plates are getting a bit out of hand. Wheres Derrick when I need him?!

So, it was a long walk home and I did not quite get through my bedtime routine before passing out in my pee bush. MY PEE BUSH! That is a new low even for me. But I guess the apocalypse tends to change you just a little bit or a lot depending on your situation.

I have been working so hard lately trying to become a permanent resident. I haven't been getting much sleep lately as I try to make money so I can hopefully some day find Derrick again. I would hate for him to find out I don't live in a house but in a tent. Who knows maybe he is going through the same thing in another town. Time to go home and crash. If I make it.

It was one of those days when you have no one around to talk to. What's a girl to do? Well I have a perfectly good plant to talk to so might as well talk to it. It was a one sided conversation but that is okay.

Well as you all know one of the requirements to live here permanently is to learn how to dance. Mr. Mayor I have learned how to dance so you can cross that off your little list.

There once was a story about a trash plant. To many people tried to throw away my trash before it sprouted. This time I will try a fence around my garden. I sure hope that I can finish it and not have to worry about them all the time!

This cardboard mat was given to me by the mayor for starting the process of learning to dance! A friend stopped by so we decided to have a dance battle to see who was better. She left before it was over but that's okay. I think I would have lost anyway.

I've got a shower in a pot! I have to bottle it the right way! Yep, that's right! I have what I need to make deodorant cream now! I will have to stock up on the stuff. I hate being so dirty. But hey that's life now.

I said don't laugh! Okay, so one of the things the mayor makes you do to become a permanent resident is you have to learn to dance.  I am not the best dancer in the world. Lord know's I have stepped on Derricks toe's one to many times. Who knows when I find him maybe I will be able to finally prove him wrong!

Am I ever going to get a break around here?! I am grilling some food and the stupid grill catches on fire in turn some how I ended up on fire! Gods only know why that happened. Anyway, I will end up having to wait till bath day to get cleaned up from the stupid fire after putting it out. Today was a day of feathers.

There is so much to do. Trying to collect and sell what I have found. Not only that but trying to make trash plants and not having people constantly moving the trash before the plants sprout. But, I must do these things to prove to the mayor of Murkland that I belong here.

I was minding my own sleeping and wouldn't you know an earthquake hit! I have never been so scared in my life. I sure do hope this does not happen that often. I really do not want to lose my signature burgundy red hair to white from being scared so bad!

Thank Murk I got through that cave! I did not think I would ever see sunlight again. This place is so beautiful I know why the hermit lives here. So quiet. No worries about whats going on outside the cave. Derrick would love this place! He always talked about moving to the woods to get away from the everyday hassle over city life. If he is alive I can bet he is in heaven right now.

My first order of business when I got here was to figure out where the hermit lives that I heard about. I do hope it won't take to long to get to him. Death, injury and being kidnapped is not part of my little trip to Granite Falls so I want to come home to Murkland after this. Nobody knows the trouble I've seen.. Nobody know's my sorrow....

Everyday I kept hearing about people traveling to a place called Granite Falls to collect certain plants and coming home to make a deodorizing cream. I figured since I was doing pretty well with my trash fruit plants that I should try my hand at making this cream. It sure is different from Murkland. Almost like the apocalypse never happened here. Don't get me wrong I love Murkland but it is nice to get away from time to time. Now time to try and find those plants.

So, while I was wandering around town with my stuff I found a new place called Fire Festival. Looked pretty interesting so I thought I would check it out. I had a few people stop by. Its definitely and interesting place. Ill have to come look at it better when I have time to.

So once again it is bath day. I decided to take my table with me. It was a very nice day so I set up the table in the front.  It was another fail. I may just stick to trying to sell at the gym and at home. Maybe I'll try the CDC.

So I decided to start a camp fire. It did not work out so well. I ended up burning my arm. Now that hurt. I always hated to start the camp fires so Derrick did it for me. I should have listened to him or I wouldn't have burnt my self today. 

So for a few days I decided to host my yard sales at home and did not see a whole lot of people. A little down I packed up my table and everything on it. I wandered around town for a while trying to find a place to get set up. I am hoping that setting up shop outside the gym will work. I really need to pay my bills and be able to eat.

So once again I have made another friend. Most of them plug their noses and walk the other way instead of stopping to talk for a few minutes. This woman was nice enough to stop and talk to me for a few minutes.  Turns out the cream I used a few days ago I can make more. But in order to do that I need to travel. Travel means needing money so that will have to wait. For now I will do what I can until bath days.

So the food that was made for me has been eaten and I now need to make my own. Having watched my dad use a grill in the park I had a rough idea on what to do. The grilled fruit turned out pretty good. Let's just hope I can keep my girlish figure.

So one thing I was told was that I would have to make my own trash plants from my trash then eat the fruit it produced once a day. I was not sure if I could eat it but to be honest it is so small I just choked it down. I'm sure I can learn to like this stuff. 

I was very dirty and very bored.  I thought I would try to start a small camp fire. I had a bit of trouble but eventually I got it started. Watching the flames dance and hearing the wood crackle was rather soothing. I'm still trying to get used to how quiet it is here.

So, while I was tending my table a man named Victor Feng showed up and talked to me for a while. I was starting to wonder if he was going to buy anything. Others had come along and bought stuff and eventually he did to. All in all it was a pretty good day at my yard sale.

So when the neighbors came by to greet me they told me how they make money by collecting and selling stuff around town. I found some stuff and decided to give it a shot out front of my house. That way I am close to my bush and such.

So you remember that plate of chicken that one of the guys made when I first moved here.  This plate of chicken lasted until Thursday! I was pretty shocked. To be honest it was starting to go bad so this was the last day I would be able to eat it.

Last night one of the girls stopped by and we chatted for a while. I admit it was nice then she asked if I wanted to star gaze. Man I haven't done that in forever. Last time I stargazed was with Derrick. It was so clear that night. Just like it is tonight.

Finally found one that was not full. There was one guy I think he is the gardener that was there. He was pretty cool. It was so nice to get into the water and just soak and get my self clean. To bad there are only certain days you can use the hot springs or I would be here every day once a day.

So today I went for a walk to clear my head a bit. Along the way I saw people rushing towards this park with what look like hot springs every where. I stopped someone asking why everyone was here when its normally so quiet. They told me it was bath day! I was so happy, not sure how long I could stand being so dirty. This will feel so good.

I was really itching to have some fun but at the moment I do not have the money to buy anything that's offered in town. But I do have this game table so I thought I would try my hand at it and what do you know I lost to my self of all people! But it was fun so that's all that matters.
