Adventures in Murkland Post Apocalyptic

Well now I have the rocket finished and slowly making progress on the upgrades I thought it would be nice to workout in the rocket. Don't ask me why I did it I still don't know. But either way it was fun to do.

I did not think the shell of this rocket would ever get finished. Now I just need to make the necessary upgrades so when it is used I won't die coming back to Murkland. I may see if Derrick wants to help with that. It was a bit lonely working on it by my self.

Well this should prove to be interesting. I have gotten this far building this rocket the Mayor wants built and I have yet to blow myself up. I wonder if I can get Derrick to help. On the other hand it is good to get away and have some space from each other from time to time. Science was not my best subject. If it was not for Derrick I would have failed in school.

Right as I am talking with the old green lady one of cliff dwellers found us. I was so nervous thinking he was going to be pissed and kick me out and send her back. But I was wrong he did not seem in the least bit phased by her. This is interesting and I have to get back to the Mayor and let him know what I have learned.

So I was talking to the green swirling mist thing and this green old lady stepped out of it. Her clothing was interesting wearing a leather jacket and gray shirt with torn jeans. I will defiantly have to let the mayor know about this. She seems nice but I don't want to get to close in case she tries to take me or something.

So I had to leave and come back before they realized what I was up to. I don't know what I touched but the weird portal thing started to change. Something started to talk to me.  That was a bit nerve racking for sure. I couldn't be rude so I spoke back.

I decided to come back to the cliff dwellers without telling them and teleported my self in with meditation. Unfortunately, I showed up right when one family member was on her way upstairs but she was glad to see me. I made it out like I was there to see her and we had a cup of tea talking about a little bit of everything.

We are getting low on money fast. I need to find a way to make money. Writing is a good idea but not sure if I am allowed to do this. So with that being said any books written will be put in the box to be sent off under the cover of darkness. I finally will be able to get paid to do what I love. Derrick is on board with this as well.

Well, we had a blast cloud gazing and he had the nerve to tell me I stunk. Dude have you looked in the creek lately? You look worse than I do. I can see it will be a mad dash to the shower on bath day. Can't expect every day to be perfect when you live in a post-apocalyptic world.

I can not stay mad at this man. After everything that happened recently, he has been trying hard to make it up to me. Today he told me I was not going to work on anything regarding the quest. Cloud gazing with him was the best thing ever. During that time all I thought about was being in the moment and not thinking about the past.

So I came home after a long day of running around Murkland working on the quest for the mayor to find the computer had suffered the blue screen of death. I had it happen while at the library but this was the first time here at home. Derrick seemed rather nervous and when I asked him what was wrong he confessed to being the one who broke it. He tried to fix it and this is what he got. After everything you think I would be mad but I was not. He had at least tried to fix it. It did not take long to fix and Derrick was at ease. For now....

Well as you know I had to meet and get to know the Mayors family as well as the Cliff dweller  family. I have already met everyone in both families and have been searching for the Mayor. This man is on the run and never sits still! I finally caught up to him and got to know him along with telling him what I have learned. I have not yet checked out those two weird things I found at the Cliff Dwellers home. For now I am going to move on to another part of the quest.

I had been undercover for a while now and it seems like the family does not know. I had started with the cliff dwellers and now moved on to the Mayor's family. Not sure if he knows I am doing this quest or not but he's playing it off pretty well. Either way, it is a nice distraction from the attack the night before. I'm still mad at Derrick and have not talked to him today.

Some boyfriend you are Derrick! This old bat comes in our home and does some weird voodoo, hoodoo stuff on me and now I have marks on my neck and no clue what happened. What does he do? NOTHING! Did not even stop the attack or try to rescue me. You, sir, have been put on notice. I am mad as a tick stuck in tar.

We had a good few months since our first time having to go to the Puffer Dome. Derrick somehow managed to get all tense and mad so here we are again. Le'ts hope we both survive the puffer fish this time. I love you dude but you make me nervous every time you get tense now. (I am currently sick with a nasty cold so posts may be sparse.)

I figured since I found that weird portal thing I thought I would snoop around a bit more. I nearly got caught but managed to hide before being seen. I think the mayor is on to something. Looks like they are communicating with someone but it can not be any more here because phones don't work. I will have to let the mayor know what I have found out. Time to hang with Derrick before starting the next part of the quest. By the way, I can not wait till bath day. It will be a fight to see who gets the shower first between Derrick and me. (In the challenge I had to take pictures of the portal and dish and show Brennachan who created the Murkland challenge)

While I had a moment to wander I ran across this weird thing. It looks like one of those security scanners they had before the apocalypse. Perhaps this is what the Mayor was looking for. I will have to let him know and see if he wants me to go through it. Not a bad find for the quest. Well, time to head home to Derrick,

Well, here we are the next day after we went to the Puffer Dome playing a game of don't wake the lama. Our first trip to the Dome we made it out alive thank the gods. Now back to focus on my mission and making money for the vardo. Unfortunately, Derrick is not allowed to bring home any money. So he will keep working on the garden and help around the Vardo.   (I can not control Derrick in game unless setting up tasks for him to do for the day.)

Derrick is the reason we are here normally I would avoid this place but unfortunately per the Mayors rules when we get tense we have to come here. So far Derrick has not died from eating this. I don't know what I would do with out him.

It took forever for us to get into the Puffer Dome and even longer to get our pufferfish which is all they offer food wise. So far so good for me. I am still alive but we will have to wait and see with Derrick. We are not even sitting together. I hope he's not mad at me.

Well, poor Derrick grew to be rather tense trying to keep up with the garden and everything so per the Mayors rules we have to come eat here and hope and pray one of us does not die. I have worked too hard to get him back only to lose him now.

One thing I love about being in the Vardo if I can not sleep I can work on writing a book and when I am done I am now able to send it to a publisher! This will make life so much easier. Derrick has been awesome keeping me motivated with the many different things I need to do.

Nothing is more fun and soothing than fire dancing. I really need to teach Derrick, it is so much fun. I didn't notice but I had a crowd father to watch me. (currently, one-handed due to a stupid injury to my right hand so this one is a bit shorter than usual.) 

Now that I am in a real home I found an empty room in the basement that I keep locked on the days we are not allowed to use the shower. Its a mad dash to the basement to see who gets the shower first. Me or Derrick. It's nice to be able to shower and not worry if someone is going to walk by and see me in the little window of the shower. 

After many long days and hours of working hard, we finally are together again and forever. I know this next step will be long and hard but in the end, we will make it. I had heard rumors some couples did not last in Murkland. We will not become part of that rumor if its true.

One thing I have always wanted to learn is how to play the pipe organ. Apparently, the vardo is run off the music of the organ. So not only do I get to learn how to play I also keep the vardo powered up by playing it. Also, Derrick has been an angel about it. I know my playing right now is horrendous but it will get better in time.

One thing I need to do for the Mayor is to complete a collection. I also need money so I am going to breed frogs and sell the ones I have duplicates of and putting the others in my storage trunk. I do hope that Derrick does not get tense or me. I would hate to come home from the Puffer Dome without him. I worked too hard to get him back.

So far living with Derrick has been awesome! It's nice to wake up and know he's here with me. Each day he helps with the garden and cleaning up. Sometimes he will even cook a meal for us. But today he is reading while I plant some much-needed plants. He has more here than he did in his tiny little shack.

(Anyone triggered by this I did take this picture on purpose.) This is not going to be an easy task trying to become friends with all seven of them. So far I have only become friends with three and have not yet figured out why they have such nice things when the rest of us don't. One thing I can say is they do have a very nice house.

So the Mayor told me that he is leary of the Cliff Dwellers. For a family in the post-apocalyptic world, they sure do have a lot of things most of us don't have including the Mayor. So now I will do some recon and work on making friends with them to see if I can find out why they have such nice stuff.

Honestly, this man is the best. I don't know what I did to deserve him. Tonight he decided to make dinner for us. I told him this next bit of the Mayor's challenge will take up a lot of my time and he was cool with it. He said he will help keep up with cleaning and the garden while I focus on the Mayor's challenge.

Since starting the new challenge the Mayor had me buy the Vardo brothers Vardo.  It is so nice to be able to live in a house. It may be small but at least its a roof over my head for the first time in over two years. Cant wait to see what happens next.

Now that Derrick has moved in he told me he wanted to help with the garden that way I can focus on the challenge ahead. I don't mind and will be helping him to but for now, let the man do his happy dance.

So I finally got a hold of Derrick. He was so happy to hear the library challenge was done. I told him to meet me at the Vardo brothers house which confused him since its a hop, skip and jump away from the old base camp. He was even more confused when I told him to bring his stuff with him and not leave anything behind. When he got to the new house I told him he was allowed to live with me and he did not waste time putting his stuff away. We can be together again.

The Mayor was very happy to find out that I got the library quest done. He told me the next challenge has a lot of different parts. The full house, the Cliff Dweller, The space Vardo, The Murkland Gypsy, The base camp, the quest for no stress and the Murkland Mercantile quest. For now, I will work on the Cliff Dweller and Murkland Gypsy quest. Lot of work to do in the coming days. I'm also starting out with a new look as well for my hair.

Ok, this must be a sign or something. I once again was minding my own when I saw the lights and was abducted again! I know finding aliens is part of the next challenge but this is a bit much. I'm starting that in the morning forget this mess.

I was just minding my own talking to my stinky plates when these lights showed up! A light shined down on me and next thing I know I am on a different planet! I was a little off for a few days when I got home. I hope this does not happen again.

Well, I finally finished the last book in the challenge the Mayor set up. So I decided that a day of fishing would be a good reward. Now I need to find Derrick and tell him also I need to find out what's next in becoming a resident of Murkland.

The earthquakes are getting worse lately. More intense. Working on my last book we had one so bad I was afraid the computer would break and I would lose all my work. But I got lucky the librarian had nailed down the tables so they wouldn't go anywhere. All I did was hold onto the computer so it wouldn't fall. I spent all day and most the night and finally finished the last book. Now all I need to do is find Derrick and tell him the good news.

I am so close to being done. I am on my ninth book which is a screenplay. I do hope this one is a best seller. It has been a long journey and I can not wait to tell Derrick. We had plans to move in after graduating and starting our life together. To be honest the day of the apocalypse I think he was going to propose. We were supposed to get together that day.

Since I am friends with the librarian he let me stay in here all night and I was able to finish the romance book. It took forever to write this thing. I keep hearing people say how easy it is to write a book and it really is not. Either way, I only need two more books and I am one step closer to having Derrick with me forever.

Well as you all know every day I have to eat a piece of trash fruit. I got up for two seconds to eat one and this evil woman stole the computer I was working on. I swear if I lost any work she will wish she never touched that computer.
